“The most fruitful basis for the discovery of a new drug is to start with an old drug”
Sir James Whyte Black, Winner of the 1998 Nobel Prize in Medicine
In 2022, over 40 drugs were approved by global regulatory authorities. Innovation drives progress and because of structure homology across similar biological targets it’s well known that knowledge of new chemical entities and their methods of construction can enhance the ability to discover new drugs more efficiently. This webinar looked at the synthetic approaches to these molecules, with a brief overview of their mode of action.
