On Thursday, 20th November 2025, we had the absolute pleasure of celebrating Claire’s 30th work anniversary, a milestone that speaks volumes about her dedication, energy, and passion for Scientific Update.
We were honoured to be joined by Dr Trevor Laird, founder of Scientific Update, and his wife Barbara. Along with the team and Will Watson, the evening was filled with wonderful stories from conferences around the world, memorable moments from the past three decades and plenty of laughter.
Hearing Trevor reflect on the early days and the evolution of Scientific Update was a reminder of the strong ethos he built, an ethos that Claire has carried forward. Her drive to continue delivering high-quality training and events for process chemists, always with both a personal and professional touch!
