Description
· Process development in organic and organometallic chemistries-innovation, experimentation, manufacturing support, and patenting
· Plans and initiates independent research programs in support of research/business goals
· Technical transfer to Pilot Plant, Manufacturing, and Technical Support groups and scale-up support
· Interface with Technical Service and Business groups on needs and performance
· Provide consultation, trouble-shooting, and experimental support for commercial operations
· Coordinates R&D programs with technical partners
· Maintain accurate documentation of work including project reports and management updates
· Conduct and lead safe laboratory and pilot experimental programs and maintains lab equipment and procedures
· Continuously look for ways for process and lab operational improvements
· Write and present to a diverse audience for effective communication
· Data manipulation and effect presentations with clear objectives, trends, and conclusions/recommendations
· Work well with diverse group of people
Qualifications
· Ph.D. chemistry with organic, inorganic synthesis and analysis experience, 3-5 years
· Adept at handling air- and moisture sensitive compounds
· Proficient in dry box, needle, and cannula skills and maintenance
· Current proficiency with chemical literature
· Independent thinker
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Strong team player
· Self-motivated and self-directed
· Strong written and oral communication skills
Compensation Range: $70,000 – $80,000 USD
